I have stayed at multiple casinos in Vegas, but this was my first time staying at the Venetian. While it still is a casino and has a slightly tacky-over-the-top feel of all casinos, I liked it a lot. The rooms were so nice. If I ever build a house I want my bathroom exactly like the one we had! The beds were super comfy, the decor was luxe and rich feeling, and it had a more fancy-European (and older) crowd in it (unlike the drunk, college, spring break feel of a lot of places I have stayed... a la MGM Grand, Flamingo, NYNY...ugh!) The pool was also okay. Even though it was seriously small it had a lot more greenery than most casino pools so it felt more like a backyard instead of a rooftop oven, but the people watching wasn't very good because there wasn't a lot of room to walk around it, and it annoyed me that it was called "TAO Beach," even though clearly, it was not a beach... I think I still like Caesar's pool better.
Have you stayed at the Venetian? What is your favorite casino in Vegas? Favorite pool?
You look gorgeous Anya! I love the mossy green shadows on you and the mirror in the first picture looks amazing - I love that kind of lighting on a mirror :)
ReplyDeleteI actually stayed at the Palazzo which you may have noticed is right beside the Venetian - it's owned by the Venetian but it's actually newer. I loved the Palazzo!!! And I did walk through the lobby of the Venetian.
Oh I know what you mean about the drunken rowdy crowds in some of the other hotels along the strip. You did well by staying at the Venetian. I hope you post some pictures from your vacation!!
